I'm just not seeing that happening. Obama has insulted the "typical white woman" and especially us "typical white woman from small town". We just aren't buying into his empty promises of hope and change. Why do Obama supporters confidently claim that Hillary supporters will jump on the Obama train?I guess they think after the hub-bub of the primaries settles down, Hillary supporters will 'come to their senses and be good Democrats'. But there's a limit to party alliance when you're really worried that the candidate will make a good president and when he's very possibly insulted the very core of what you are as an American. Why do Obama supporters confidently claim that Hillary supporters will jump on the Obama train?
Clearly, they believe that we will get loopy on the same kool-aid...but Clinton supporters know that we'll vote for McCain before we'd vote for Obama. Why do Obama supporters confidently claim that Hillary supporters will jump on the Obama train?Because he thinks Hillary will follow party protocol and kiss and make up and encourage her supporters to vote for him "for the good of the party" hogwash. If she does, which she seems to be leaning towards, I hope her supporters don't buy into it.
Even McCain is a better candidate than a racist Muslim sympathizer who is elitist and insults the white middle classes..esp by throwing his white grandma under the bus instead of taking responsibility for his own adult decisions.
WTH are you talking about?? Obama has never personally attacked me, and I am a white woman (from a relatively small town). You need to cite if you're going to raise such topics.
The truth is: You SHOULD be *running* to jump on that train, because you're about to vote to stay in this expensive war, not to mention a huge draft. When your offspring gets drafted, do NOT complain. Why do Obama supporters confidently claim that Hillary supporters will jump on the Obama train? They believe, in their 'superior delusion', that we will follow their enlightened orders and vote for the empty suit...they are so mistaken...Why do Obama supporters confidently claim that Hillary supporters will jump on the Obama train?
No Obama hasn't insulted the "typical white woman" I know I'm one of then that voted for Clinton.
They are absolutely delusional. Do you think for one minute Obama would be where he's at if the Reverend Wright scandal broke before Super Tuesday? If democrats keep on deluding themselves that this guy is electable, they deserve to lose to McCain in November. Why do Obama supporters confidently claim that Hillary supporters will jump on the Obama train?
As one Obama supporter said on here,"oh they will lick their wounds and vote for him in the end," sorry but that's not going to happen with many of us.
Haha...We won't jump on the Obama train. I think the statistics show that about 20-60% of us Hillary supporters will vote for McCain in the fall, and the number is growing. Once people realize that Obama is nothing but a good speaker, he will lose.
I dont know they are clearly wrong
Most of them are going to jump ship and vote for McCain
Obama must not win at any cost

They think we are blind
JUST AS
Governor Wallace was blind thinking that dems would vote for him BECAUSE he was running on the democratic ticket
We have no place for RACIST'S be they white like Wallace
or Black like Obama !!!
The same reason Hillary thinks Obama's supporters especially blacks will jump on her band wagon. How many times has she insulted Obama's supporters especially blacks and small states. Hillary already said that her hardworking white supporters that don't go to college won't vote for Obama. I know there are some who won't but some like both and will vote for either because McCain is a worst option. Hillary has promised the moon, sun and the stars. Sadly she wouldn't be able to deliver because congress wouldn't work with her.

If Obama would have said the things Wright said, I wouldn't be supporting him. The thing is he didn't say them. I don't believe he is a racist. He is mixed race. Does he hate his mother and grand parents and himself.
Not sure. I will be voting McCain.
Obama is a racist and a marxist. Nuts to that.
An unusual number of Obama supporters are new to politics, or recently reintroduced to politics...that's his strength. The rest of them are moldy old radicals and (Teddy) Kennedy liberals feeling reinvigorated for the first time since Teddy ran against Carter. Political realism is not their strongest suit.
Fact is Hillary appealed to DLC moderates, while Obama went out of his way to snub them. It isn't clear they would prefer an Obama presidency.
They are delusional. Its not gonna happen. The reason why Hillary hasn't gave up yet is because she knows how twisted Obama is and is trying to reach out to those idiots who are dumb enough to vote for him. We do NOT need a Anti American like Obama in office. Our freedoms that we have fought so hard to keep will be taken away from us. Vote to keep him out!!
I have not heard Obama insult "the typical white woman", this is a extreme comment. Hillary is the one who has insulted the white women period, by just pretending she cares about anyone, that lady cares about nothing but the crown, then it will be back stabbing time for us all, no matter what color we are.
Let me straighten people out about a few things.
First- Vice President will not do Hillary any good. She is getting old.
Second- If Obama wins she cannot run against an incumbent Democrat in 2012 she would have to wait until 2016 when she will be in her seventies.
Third- If Obama wins the election he becomes head of the Democrat Party. Right now the head of the Party is Bill Clinton, the last to be elected president.
Fourth- If Obama is declared the winner before the convention, Hillary will take it to the Supreme Court.
Fifth- It is in Hillary's best interest to see to it that Obama does not win the election, allowing Bill Clinton to maintain control of the Party and leaving her an opening to run in 2012.
Sixth- McCain is far more like a Democrat than a Republican. That will certainly appeal to the Hillary supporters and Reagan Democrats more than Obama.

How "insulted" will you be if McCain is elected and he manages to overturn Roe V. Wade or gas is $8 a gallon?
I think that after it is all said and done people will be smart enough to do what is in their best interest. You may not like Obama but you know he will put in place better policy than what the Republicans have been doing for the last 8 yrs.
This election is not really about Obama and McCain. It is about 2 philosophies. One philosophy it that of the failed Bush administration and the other will take us in the opposite direction.
In the end I feel people will vote for their best interests.
Because they dont know what they are talking about.. the southern states will not vote for Obama.. he will get the same votes he got in the primaries... and mccain will get all the rest... I can not believe they think of us "good ole boyss or red necks" what ever they want to call us will vote for Obama.. He is for gun control.. hates the NRA.. not to mention his Socialist ways.. We and our families like to hunt, fish, make our own living, and we prefer the govt stay out of our business.. so,,, I agree why int he hell do they think we will vote for Obama... we wont...!!!! The south will vote for Mccain, Blacks some college teachers( the liberal idiot types) will vote for him and maybe some young people.. I guess in elsewhere liberal socialist types, and blacks will vote for Obama... .. He has -0- chances of being elected if he is the nominee
Obama has made a lot of mistakes that will cost him dearly in the General Election. His NAFTA speech about Canada, then telling Canada it was just politics. His guns and religion slip in San Franscisco, his PLO affiliation, the raising of taxes on people who make $75,000 and up, his Global Poverty Act of 2007 shows his true allegiance! Obama's arrogance and that of Michele hateful nasty rhetoric will get old and turn the voters off!
No, I don't see Obama gaining the Hillary supporters that he needs to win the White House. The cards are stacked against him....there are no caucuses nor super delegates he can buy!
People will not tolerate Obama's digs into McCain who served his country. Obama will lose big time. People would have a real hard time voting for him as VP...even if Hillary was on the ticket as the President.
It sounds like you are voting on personal issues only without any regard to the positions of the candidates on the war, energy, health care, economy.
You must not really like Hillary Clintons ideas on those issues (or have any idea what they are) otherwise you wouldn't want to vote for her opponent where there are really big differences between the two of them.
I didn't know those petty, personal issues were the most important issues in "small town" America.
You all must be really bitter!
Listen, if she can convince her supporters that she still has a shot to be the Nom when she knows she doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hell..she can certainly convince them to put all their support behind Obama when she bows out of the race.
And that is exactly what she is going to have to do if she wants to run again in 2012.
I support Obama and I dont think that.
Because history has shown that that is what generally happens. Each time, the opponents on one side insist that they won't vote for the other side, but when it comes down to pulling the lever, they go with their party. Estimates run pretty much even across the board of Obama supporters claiming they will vote for McCain and Clinton voters claiming the same. And people who claim they will vote for McCain will have to be willing to vote for four more years of Bush to pull that lever!
