Abe took a historic moral just decision. He could afford it according to his times and lives.

Obe can not afford to take such decisions because he is not as free or independent as Abe. He can choose between one set of Corporate Giants or the other. Abe had no such obligations.

So Obe will at best be a good President with good intentions but capable of no effective total action.The corporate Giants have tranquilized everything and everybody. Only a total mental and material revolutionary approach is going to make any indelible mark now in the history of mankind.......a revolution of the Gandhian model which was left half way by the Gandhi himself .The reason being the complex nature of the present day society where it is very difficult to discern the hunter and the hunted .....in the long run of history.

You know this reminds me of the plans for this high speed train network he wants to set up. Interestingly enough, he's talking about approving one from Nevada to California, and one to run from DC to New York. I personally think it would be a much better idea, and probably cheaper, to have a trans continental hi speed rail. It would generate a lot of money in travel and commuters and shipping. Plus, he could act like he's the next Lincoln, and that sounds to me like what he really wants.

Just because he is half black doesnet mean he will be the best president of all time, so far he has not done much as president because he was recently elected.

We will see in the next four years, but if it was not for Abe Lincoln Barack would of not been where he is today.

Abe Lincoln was responsible for bringing the nation together. I think that Mr.Obama is doing just the opposite .If you wonder why the United States has and continues to lose large manufacturing companies and the jobs that they create. It's because of increasing tax and over head cost (ie Health care cost ,cap and trade taxes etc. Larger and larger government!) Imposed on companies by government's. I truly hope that he is successful ,but I don"t think that he will ever accomplish as much greatness in his presidency as Abe Lincoln did.... Ever!!

Why do WE have to pay for other people's health insurance while half the people who dont have it dont bother to pay for it.

Obama can never outstrip Abraham Lincohn. u matter what Obama will do he can't because Abraham Lincohn has already gained his popularity and is found in many history books. Let's take an example of scientist. We heard about the old time top scientist, and even though there top scientist now whom some are more experience than the old time scientist, they have never been able to outstrip the old scientist. Cha! a person whose name is been written in history book, it is difficult to gain popularity than him.
Lincoln is popular because he is dead, the USA is too big now for any president to be so popular. Reagan only managed it because of his personality, but people have seen that his politics was nothing special.



Obama's popularity is dependant upon the economy which his predecessor managed to mess up. Is that fair? No, but that is politics. Maybe if the economic crisis is dealt with in such a manner that it works out better than expected, maybe then people will love him.



But he has 4 years to change everything around. 4 years to correct 8 years of mistake.
The guy is pretty much an enigma in character outside of what his image makers created. And he's always glued to teleprompters all the time when he speaks. And his political record is anything but exceptional or that of someone who's "above" reproach.



He instills no confidence in me at all. I like someone who can speak from the heart and isn't an empty shell. Basically I see him as an exploiter of the working people to feed a power greedy agenda. As Einstein believed, that a socialist government can only do it's best under totalitarian rule, which he could never endorse because it destroys the people it's meant to protect.
