I'm certain Senator Obama has 'missed' only a few important issues since being on the campaign trail -- just as many as Senator McCain. I'm sure you'll find that they've BOTH missed a few votes recently.

Obama, I'm certain has not forgotten that he IS a representative of the people -- he knows people put him where he is. I think that is precisely why he has handled this the way he has. I'd much rather see a debate than footage of both men going to....work. I'd like to see them in such a setting together. As I mentioned in my answer to another of your questions, this is PURE POLITICS! Obama is representing the supporters of his who want to see the debate. McCain is representing his supporters who consider it beneficial for him to go to Washington.

They are BOTH representatives of the people. The people they've chosen to please just happen to want different things.
