The republicans are trying every trick they know to keep Gitmo open, just to make Obama wrong. But the end of the story is not yet Written.



Obama is doing what the military asked in Afghanistan: a two year surge. But the military needs to show results. We will soon be at the point where there are more soldiers in Afghanistan than in Iraq. Can 100,000 US soldiers stabilize Afghanistan? We will judge in 2 years.



But most important, his program is turning the economy around faster than Reagan did when he took office. Unemployment rose from about 7.5% to almost 11% during the first two years of Reagan's presidency, while Reagan's approval rating dropped to 35%. Obama is doing better than that.
