The only justices set to resign during an Obama presidency are liberal justices Ginsberg, Souter, Breyer and Stevens.

If Obama replaces these judges then there will still be a liberal minority of votes on the court at the end of the day.

Good point. That is a good reason to support Obama so that the court doesn't change its makeup to more conservative. If you don't want a more conservative court then you have to vote for Obama.

Many times it doesn't mater whether the Judge is Republican or Democrat. It's whether they are realistic and up with the times. The last Two Robots Bush picked for the Supreme court are so Conservative and uptight, the Pope has disagreements with them.
The purpose of SCOTUS is to read the Constitution and make sure the laws abide by it. Not to make stuff up and force more government on the citizens. The Constitution was written solely to restrain government so that all the power remained with the people where it belongs. Judges who use the court to increase government powers are traitors. There are 4 Americans on the Court. They usually get to write the dissenting opinion. Kennedy is pretty liberal but will stop short of actually ruling The Constitution itself is unconstitutional. The other 4 you mentioned above do that reliably.

It's not so much excitement over Obamite Justices as it is terror that without Obama in the White House more Americans might get on the Court.

Having a Supreme Court that doesn't wipe themselves with the remains of The Constitution is unthinkable to Democrats.
Because if Obama doesn't get elected they will be replaced by conservative justices.
