He inherited the mess approved by the Democrat Congress, they approved EVERYTHING from 2007 to date, if Obama was not aware of the problems facing him, he should not have run for the office, if he can't handle it, he should resign and let someone else run it, successful men do not blame others for their failures, they pick up the load and move forward, could Alexander the Great have conquered the world , by simply complaining about the past--Obama has all the power he needs to change anything he wants, yet he stands and blames Bush, the Mobs at Town Hall Meetings, the Astro Turf, the Bible Clingers, the GunToters, Insurances Companies, the Rich, the right wing extremists in the military, Fox News---Obama has control of a super power nation, yet he takes 90+ days to decide what his generals asked him to do in the first place***********************************…Why are republicans seemingly unaware that Obama inherited the current mess?Because libs deregulated the banks in '93 visa vis Dodd, Frank and Clinton. Osama was offered to Clinton on at least 3 occasions and was let go. Because on 16 attempts to re-regulate the banks by the Bush administration met with opposition in legislature. Because libs rewrite history to suite themselves and cover up their screw ups. Because Obama has had a year and things are still getting worse. Yes Obama inherited a mess, but he has mucked around and made the quagmire deeper. Because you libs will not accept that Obama is not the Divine. Most conservatives know and accept the errors of Bush, but he did not cause the great flood or the tidal wave that hit Indonesia. Get a life and get over Bush, he is gone. No one will deny that Bush helped create the mess that was present when Obama took office. He was a terrible president. However, Obama's administration is making the mess bigger. They are spending when they should be cutting the spending. They want to raise taxes on people who are already struggling to make ends meet. They are willing to push a Health Care Reform Bill through, knowing it's going to increase insurance rates and make things harder for those already struggling financially just to say they got a bill through. All Obama does is make speeches. You can't fix this country by making speeches.

The democratic house and senate are the ones who have created this debacle. They have been the party with the majorities for 80% of the past 40 years, raiding programs like Medicare, Social Security, and HUD to fund their pork projects. Well, the reactionary Republicans do tend to be detached from reality; however, that does not change the fact that nearly one year in, the Obama regime has done nothing whatsoever to competently address the multitude of issues which are the urgent business of government (including, most importantly, the economic collapse). Moreover, Obama has aggravated the various terrible and worsening economic, social and geopolitical crises. He's essentially declared war against Pakistan, ordered a Gorbachev- and LBJ-style escalation in Afghanistan, came out with a literally Nazi healthcare policy, tried to push a radical and insane environmentalist agenda, escalated the intrinsically fraudulent "bailout" of the Wall Street parasites, and on and on.

Let's go back in time. You remember the great growth we experienced in the 90's? You know how much of that was built on money that wasn't there? It was all borrowed. You see banks were told by the government to make loans easier for the poor to obtain. People the banks wouldn't normally loan to because people can't make the payments.



Think about it. Where do you think this whole mess with the Real Estate market came from? It didn't spawn over night because of the recession. No. It was well over a decade in the making.



So it was Bush who inherited a bad economy.



So why do we blame Obama for our current situation? Because of history. History has shown what happens to a country when it gets heavily into debt, its economy is weak and then tries to save itself by printing more money and throwing it at the situation. It happened in Germany in 1932. Just type in "Hyperinflation" and you'll see what I'm talking about. The result is just the opposite effect. A near total collaspe of the economy.



We are heavily in debt. Why is going to be debated by historians for decades to come, but the fact of the matter is we are in debt. Our economy is weak. And Obama's solution is to simply print more money. Well done.Why are republicans seemingly unaware that Obama inherited the current mess?
The Dems in Congress caused the mess you are blaming on Bush. They shot down the warnings from the Bush Administration regarding Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae. Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, all denied there was any problem. Basically, lied straight faced to the Senate Banking Committee.



Obama has done nothing to improve the economy. He has only spent money our children will be paying on for decades to come. This mess was inherited by Obama, but it was inherited from the hands of his buddies in Congress.

The Repeal of the Glass Steagall Act during the Clinton administration led to all the fiascos that led to this recession. Both parties voted for it. The republicans wanted it for more risk taking and the democrats wanted it for getting housing for the poor and minorities. It just took that long before the price of housing went too high and there were no more sub prime mortgages to sell. No more capital to loan. The insured toxic swaps broke AIG which didn't have enough to cover the claims. It may have happened on Bush's watch but he had nothing to do with it. He warned Congress they better do something about it but they ignored him saying "everything was fine".
