Obama is talking to HUGO CHAVEZ, if anyone has heard of him. He is really close friends with Fidel Castro. Im sure that most of you know his name. Both are knee-deep into communism. I hope all of you are familiar with that. SO what are you guys' opinions on OBAMA?How come Obama gets the right to have peace talks with communist leaders without people calling him a moron? He's a MORON. He really is.How come Obama gets the right to have peace talks with communist leaders without people calling him a moron?
He wanted some pointers from Chavez. How come Obama gets the right to have peace talks with communist leaders without people calling him a moron?Hugo Chavez is also the only one that made sure the elderly had free home heating oil in this country.
Did this country ever make sure people here had heat? No.
Chavez hated Bush, not this country.
It's about damn time we stopped hating other countries and their leaders IMO.
CHANGE
It's what we asked for and it's what we're getting.
'Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard."
HL MenckenHow come Obama gets the right to have peace talks with communist leaders without people calling him a moron?Communism is the philosophical opponent of capitalism and Obama ran on the pledge of change...but Obama is no communist...McCain even said as much during the campaignHow come Obama gets the right to have peace talks with communist leaders without people calling him a moron?
What are you talking about? I see lots of people calling Obama a moron. I don't think a quick handshake and wish for our two countries to improve their relationship constitutes talking to Hugo Chavez, at least not in the way you imply.
Cuba wants to have a more friendly relationship with the US. The Soviet Union is gone, and China is more capitalist than communist; I don't think Americans need to fear the Red Scare anymore. I think Cuba and the US could be on very good terms as long as we respect each other's forms of government.
Cuba is a piss *** island that's only remotely of interest
because it is not far. And the only *REAL* interest we
had in that piece of crap was soviet military installations.
The Soviet Union is no more and with that there's no threat
whatsoever from Cuba. If your argument is that it is a communist
country and that you shouldn't do business with them. So
don't buy Chinese stuff because China is Cuba to the square.
And in contrast to Cuba they actually do pose a military threat.
The Cuba embargo is ridiculous to a point where it actually
gets some comedic aspects. And to close this: Cuba never
attacked the US. We however attacked Cuba once and tried
to murder their leader "quite a few times" despite assuring
the Soviet Union that we wouldn't. Which was the foundation
that they withdrew their missiles in the first place. How come Obama gets the right to have peace talks with communist leaders without people calling him a moron?
Well it worked for Ronald Reagan when he held talks with Gorbachev and he was a communist.
Remember when Red China was our enemy, then Nixon went over there to open relations with them. Decades later, they have destroyed our industrial base and we are in debt to them.
Bush had the "right" to talk to Chavez as well, he just chose to act like a rude horses patoot which made him look like a moron!
Obama on the other hand has chosen to be polite, listen and see if there is any common ground from which to move forward. This world is getting smaller everyday, and it never hurts to be on speaking terms with former enemy nations.
I don't have a problem with people talking to one another since I know that talking does NOT equate to "giving away the farm".
fyi... Shortly after Katrina hit, Venezuela offered $1M, oil, food and equipment for Katrina victims, but the US turned them down saying unsolicited offers can be "counterproductive". The day after Katrina struck, Cuban doctors, skilled in disaster relief and setting up field hospitals volunteered to help. However, Bush played politics and snubbed (ignored) Castro's offer of medical personnel and supplies.

After that snub, even a $75 million program to allow Latin American youths to study English in the USA, a $100 million effort to provide mortgages to working families and a floating hospital did little to win hearts and minds in Latin America.

Comparatively speaking, who's the moron??
Was RONALD REAGAN a MORON? He is concidered one of the best presidents ever by most conservatives. He sat down with perhaps the bigest communist threat in history, and was applouded for it!!! My opinion has not changed about obama, he is my president and he deserves a fair chance and not be demoniized every single day!!! At this point we don't know weather he will be concidered one of the best or one of the worst in history. However, we do know where "w" falls in that department.
My opinion is that having peace between us and other countries is good. What is moronic about that?
cuz too many dipshit liberals dont understand how the world works
