Why is it Obama supporters claim Palin is unqualified to be VP when she actually has executive experience?

I don't get it. Palin is the VP nominee and the Obama supporters claim she is unqualified when she has more executive experience then Obama and Biden COMBINED. Obama is the one who is unqualified. Why is it Obama supporters claim Palin is unqualified to be VP when she actually has executive experience?Palin's Executive experience is as follows

As mayor she hired a city manager who actually did the job. She did not do much but leave the town in debt when she had gotten it debt free. Yah we need more of the same.

As governor she has spent 312 days "working" from home

Sure she has all the executive experience " i can see Russia from my house so that gives me foreign relations experience"

Well I guess she is more qualified that the top of her ticket since he too has no executive experience.

Besides we remember all great executive experience used by the former Governor of TX. what a bang up job he has doneWhy is it Obama supporters claim Palin is unqualified to be VP when she actually has executive experience?
2 years of state experience doesn't count. Why is it Obama supporters claim Palin is unqualified to be VP when she actually has executive experience?Have you listened to her??? That is why!
She's unqualified because she's stupid. Why is it Obama supporters claim Palin is unqualified to be VP when she actually has executive experience?Palin has no clue what a VP does. No experience for her. Obama is a constitutional Lawyer now that's what we need in the White House. Why is it Obama supporters claim Palin is unqualified to be VP when she actually has executive experience?
McCAin as Commmander in Chief is a bit worrying. He lost FIVE aircraft

The first during a training flight in 1958 when he plunged into Corpus Christi Bay while trying to land.

While deployed in the Mediterranean, McCain lost a second aircraft. "Flying too low over the Iberian Peninsula, he took out some power lines" said a colleague.

McCain lost a third aircraft while flying a Navy trainer solo to Philadelphia for an Army-Navy football game. He ejected before it slammed into trees.

McCain lost his fourth plane on board the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal on July 29, 1967 McCain's plane FIRED A ROCKET across the deck that hit another fully loaded airplane. McCain escaped, but the explosions that followed killed 134 sailors.

On Oct. 26, 1967 Vietnam, he was shot down and captured by the Vietnamese. No witnesses so we only have John's version. Was he shot down - or did he crash it?

Let's hope he's he bit more succesful with the economy.

yeah executive in experience but never as big as V.P of the United States of AmericaWhy is it Obama supporters claim Palin is unqualified to be VP when she actually has executive experience?
Even though she may have more "executive" experience when looking at the calendar, I think it's more important to look at the whole picture. So for that, how about a resume comparison?

There. Now, you decide.
Her experience isn't her problem, her knowledge that she didn't pickup from that experience is the problem. She has very little knowledge of national politics.
And you can add in McCain as well. Are you suggesting she's more qualified to be president than he is?
She does not have more experience than Biden. Well okay she has had executive experience but she can't win a debate or talk about McCain's plans in detail to save her life.
I can see Canada from my porch. Elect me!

With all their maple syrup, and hockey games. I got my eyes on them...
So did Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Being president of the PTA, a mayor of a tiny town, or even the governor of a state with fewer people than Obama's senate district, does not qualify you to be President of the United States. Wisdom and integrity are also important, and Palin has demonstrated neither.
I don't care who anyone supports for President but either way we have a major threat of an inexperienced leader...Obama hasn't had the amount of years that Biden and Mccain had in office and if Mccain dies while in office you have Sarah Palin who has the least experience of them all. Either was our country has that unqualified threat.
Dumbya has spent 8 years being a president and he's still 101% the worst possible choice and the least qualified living creature on Earth for the job. The length of stay does not mean qualification, just being obtuse. Besides, the "qualifications" I deny are her intelligence and education, not how long she stayed here or there. She is a serial incubator and a brainless bimbo, and she'll be the same even if she gets to spend a century in any position whatsoever (well, maybe the doggy position would suit her better).
I have executive experience too. I was president of the humanitarian club in college. Does that make me qualified to be VP of the United States?

Palin in numerous interviews showed that she lacks any experience or knowledge of US policy. She is unqualified.
Because as mayor of a small town she cut a line item from the budget without knowing that she was cutting the funds needed to perform rape kits on rape victims.

Experience does not equal competence.
1. Both Palin %26amp; Obama can be considered to be inexperienced.

2. However, Obama is even less experienced than her.

3. Obama is running for #1, Palin is running for #2. I'd rather have an inexperienced #2 than an inexperienced #1 in charge.

4. None of this matters to Obama supporters, because they will never look at Obama with a critical eye. And they will never look at the world at large with a logical eye. I was once a Democrat myself %26amp; I know how they think. They don't respond to reason, they respond to emotion. And Obama has the personality %26amp; charisma to influence weak-minded people who rely on their emotions %26amp; not their brains.
sarah palin is an idiot like john mccain and the republican supporter....
obama is in congress which means that he knows a hell of a lot more about the way that this country works from the inside than this "soccer mom"

and biden has been in office for decades. . . . . so who the hell you callin inexperienced?

id rather take a rookie congressman than a lipstick wearin soccer mom who compares herself to a pitbull anyday when it comes to this country!

Tell me, in what way does she have more experience??
More experience than Biden? Certainly not. Palin has a little more experience than Obama. But Biden is quite experienced.

The reason the liberals are trying to hate Palin for is what they should also hate Obama for.

I would hate to see Palin or Obama as president, neither are anywhere near ready.
Consider her state's location and population. That's like putting up little league baseball against the major leagues, but hey, they're both called "leagues."
I do not care if she has executive experience since she is not on our side

you guys on your side can fight that out among yourselves AND ARE lol lol

What people are concerned about is her ability to take over president at the drop of a hat or someone that is the real question

From what I have read....there is more concern on the republican side than Dem's

She is just not ready for the BIG leagues.....
EXPERIENCE -PALIN -REALLY ?

WHAT IN BAR TENDING ? -WINK - no wonder she appeals to Joe six pack.

HAY My Republican friends thought that Palin reminded them of a Bar tender. I THINK THEY MAY BE RIGHT. MCCAIN LOST SOME RELIGIOUS RIGHT VOTERS AFTER THE DEBATE. They were not impressed.
She was the mayor of a town with the population of 2000 ( according to the national census ) and governor of a state with the population the size of Charlotte NC 975,000. This is a state with a scattered population at that, if you are at all familiar with Alaska or have ever been there. I have and assure you it is not the same setting as a large city, the population is very scattered and communication amongst the largest of the population is by plane! Executive management of these two cenarios by no means accounts for any experience needed to run a country the size of the lower 48 or the foreign affairs experience needed in the VP position of the same.
At least there is one Obama supporter on this site who admits the truth, even if he did it by accident. In a question about why Palin didn't resign as Governor while campaigning for VP, he had these additional comments when people pointed out that neither Obama, McCain nor Biden had resigned:

(((Bob B))): McCain, Obama, and Biden are LEGISLATORS and government can function in their absence. But Palin is an EXECUTIVE

In other words, she is an EXECUTIVE; her state NEEDS her and her experience. Obama, on the other hand, is just an expendable legislator whose job can be performed just as competently with or without him.

Here's the link: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>

I find it amusing that my using that quote in an answer to her question prodded another poster to let her liberal, tolerant facade drop and frothingly call me a hag. Love it.
She also has more experience than McCain. Would you not vote for McCain?

Palin has some executive experience - a year and a half as Governor - of an isolated, sparsely populated state that gets big budget surpluses due to its oil revenue. Not real challenging as governorships go. And less than two years is not nearly enough to evaluate a governor. Ours here in IL looked great for about two years - now he is pretty much universally hated.

Before that - just two years ago - she was mayor of a small town. She didnt even run the administrative stuff - she had a village manager for that. Thats really stretching it to count as executive experience.

Before that? She didnt do much. She also has little education - bouncing around colleges and getting a TV journalism degree. Not the preparation I want to see in a president.

Obama has a pretty good track record of legislative experience- six years as state senator, four years as US Senator is one of the most populous states in the US.

Before that, he has experience as a community organizer and is a graduate of two Ivy league schools - and was the editor of the Harvard Law Review - the #1 position in the #1 Law school in the country.
Palin is a governor and has a governor's mentality. She knows very little about political history in general. In order for this country to be stable, we need a good Vice-president and President. I'm not saying McCain is going to die in office, but what if something happened to him? Palin needs to be ready for the responsibility of a country, not a state. Especially when that state is Alaska. Sometimes we need smarter candidates more than experienced candidates. Because let's face it, we need someone to know what the country needs. Anyone who has taken a history class, knows how the country is run. Our country needs a strong VP as well as a strong President. They work together in order to keep this country running. Palin is very unqualified, if you watched the debate, you know that she always changed the question or mentioned McCain. We wanted to know he opinions, not McCain's. She's practically a puppet. Palin only says what McCain tells her to say. She has a mind, she needs to use it.
Palin is not a nominee, she was picked by Mccain, the candidate nominated by his party to run for President. She is the VP candidate, and has not been chosen by the electorate.

As is expected in an election the parties point out strengths of their candidate, and try to find shortfalls in the other party.

Obama will be the better president, and if McCain dies in office we will be stuck with his VP choice. This is why it is becoming important to consider whether or not you would want her to be President.

Please vote for Obama, unless you want 4 more years of the same as we have now.
According to your argument, I am more qualified to be president than any of them. I have been an executive for many years. Executive experience isn't the end all of qualifications for being president. The reason people think Palin is inexperienced is because she is inexperienced. She has been governor of a very small (population-wise) state for a very short time. And Alaska is very different than the rest of the US. And she has spent NO TIME outside of the US and many of her answers to questions about her experience are absurd. She has been shielded from the media (why they've respected that, I don't understand) and can only sound intelligent when she has been coached. I think the reason Obama supporters claim that Palin is inexperienced is because she SOUNDS inexperienced. However, this is not why I or most Obama supporters are not voting for McCain/Palin. We are voting for Obama because we believe in the work and message that Obama beleives in. I would not vote for someone with tons of experience if I didn't believe in what they believed in. Sarah Palin's lack of experience is just an easy target. However, if you don't like that target there are plenty of other reasons to NOT support her. Vote for what you believe in and if you believe in fighting in the war in Iraq, that's certainly your choice. If you believe in not having health care, that's certainly up to you. If you believe in not funding educational programs for our kids, go ahead and support the candidate of your choice.
