How did the constellations affect us?

I need more topics, please.

I know it affected the lining of the pyramids, months, navigation.

But what else.

And if you can, can you tell me which websites can tell me more about this.

Please and thank you.How did the constellations affect us?They don't really have an effect, but they do have utility. For example, Ursa Minor contains the star Polaris, which can be used to orient oneself towards true north, in the Northern hemisphere, at least. Detailed observations of the positions of constellations enabled the development of the first reasonably accurate calendars. This also gave rise to astrologers, who were in many ways charlatans, but who also possessed some of the most advanced understandings of timekeeping and the orientation of the heavens in more primitive eras; by tracking the position of constellations and how high they rose in the night sky, they could make reasonable astronomical predictions about the timing of eclipses, which might as well as have been magic to their audiences. This gave the perceived credibility of astrological prediction, which led to the consumption of vague self-fulfilling prophecies, which continues to this day.

In Astronomy terms, constellations are still used to denote 'regions' of the night sky as seen from Earth. This does not denote any common proximity between the objects in the region (it totally neglects any sense of depth), only the direction in which one would look to find it from our specific point of view. Many catalog names for stars contain specific references to the constellation in which they can be found; for example, 55 Cancri can be found in the region of Cancer, and the Andromeda Galaxy can be found in (gasp) Andromeda. How did the constellations affect us?
They have no effect on us now (other then handy road maps for finding things). However, they were used to convey a cultures history, both as a teaching/entertainment stories, but also the culture's religious heritage.

Also, they made for a calendar system, navigational aids and timekeeping.

The Egyptians (for example) used the raising of the star Sirius (in the constellation Canis Major - literally, "The Big Dog") at dawn as a signal that the Nile was about to flood and that the fields needed to be ready for planting. How did the constellations affect us?I hope these links might help, it's a start, the constellations effected us more than some may think,

The constellations haven't really affected us in any way. All they are are arbitrary collections of stars which happen to lie in the same direction in the sky. They have no physical reality and hence no influence. How did the constellations affect us?They are nothing more than arbitrary human groupings of distant stars based upon the image seen by ancient humans.

Constellations DO NOT affect us. We simply look at the stars with ignorance and make up our own understanding, and methods to use them. How did the constellations affect us?
They don't, didn't and do not: period.
