Constellations are only pretty pictures joining bright stars. There is no absolute definitions on where the boundary between one constellation and another are, it is all arbitrary. And astronomers will not lose time defining such boundaries because it does not add anything to their work, as most stars are located through their position -- right ascension and declination -- anyway.
Therefore any reference you may have will be the result of "artistic" decision on the part of the author of said reference as to where the boundaries are.I'm talking about the andromeda constellation?about what?
the constellation?
well there is a story behind the stars
Cassiopeia and Cepheus, the rulers of Ethiopia
has a daughter named Andromeda,
Cassiopeia was vain and arrogant of her look, so, the god of the seas, poseidon felt cassiopeia must be punished.
When Cassiopeia heard of this news that poseidon will sent a flood to ethiopia,
She planned to sacrifice her daughter to Poseidon.
SHe chained andromeda to a rock near to the shore, thus, the constellation of the chained princess.
But poseidon still sees her being 'snobbish', so when cassiopeia became a constellation, he asked the gods to meke her up-side down in the skies for ever as a punisment.I'm talking about the andromeda constellation? Are you talking about Andromeda constellation ? So do I.
The Andromeda (constellation) was the step-daughter of Cassiopeia (constellation) and Cepheus (constellation) is her step-father. Zeus was her real father.
Andromeda was "bounded" to the sea flood because her natural mother was a nereid with a fish-like tail. Poseidon is represented by Cetus (constellation) a Killer whale who devoured seals and sirens next to the shore, sirens like Andromeda.
This is what I found out and this is what I believe. Please, can anyone prove I am wrong ? But no link please!.
