No. You just transferred the debt from one place to another. So no matter how many stimulus packages we put into effect, we will still be in debt. He is going to use stimulus money in Elkhart to build a battery powered truck that gets 100 miles between charges. Does that mean it will convert to diesel and then give the opportunity to recharge at the next fill-up or are these small trucks? The last I heard, large trucks for transporting goods would be built to run on natural gas. At this point, I don't see much future for a truck that runs 100 miles on batteries. If this is our future, I can see a lot of expensive, multiple changes in tooling within a very short period of time.
While I'm sure this will put some people to work, why don't they take some time to think this through? This will be done with stimulus money. Is it going to be government owned or a loan to convert an RV factory? That is a big question about the ground work they are laying.
He's claiming successes all over the country due to the stimulus package yet only about 10% of that has been spent to date and for mostly Government hand-outs that didn't create jobs or at least nothing lasting more that a few days.
Most of the recovery has been due to peoples' hard earned work and sweat spending dollars out of speculation without Government bailouts.

He's trying to dig us out of the deep s*** hole Bush put us in. You have to spend money to make money. I believe he is laying the groundwork for a better America in most areas, and saving our *** in others.

IF congress won't listen and insist on bring the Healthcare bill to a vote in the House or the Senate then we will send our message to them by calling in sick. THE GREAT AMERICAN SICKOUT. On the first business day before a floor vote on Healthcare either Senate or House which ever comes first we the American people will send congress a message by calling in sick to work and refuse to buy anything for the day.

2) If you own a business close for the day
3) DO NOT buy anything on that day. Go to the store the day before or the day after. DO NOT buy online, DO NOT buy or sell anything that day.
4) Stay Home, have a BBQ with friends, go to a free park or any other activity that is FREE.
If the congress continues to be deaf to the overwhelming outcry to NO National Healthcare plan then they will get to hear the deafening sound of silence. Not a taxi to catch, nor the roar of construction work. Empty stores, closed stores, business of all kind across the country closed will make the point that we are the people and they work for us and we won't work for them if they insist on saddling us with more debt, rationed care, and neglected dying elderly given a pain pill instead of an operation to save money.
So go forth copy this message in whole and post it in message boards no matter the subject, post questions on yahoo and post it in the answers too. Email it too every email address you can and send this plan viral through the internet and set in motion the Great American Sick out. If they don't listen the first time and pass a bill in the House or Senate, then when it comes up for a floor vote in the other part of congress House or Senate then we will have another Great American Sick out the First Business Day before the floor vote and if they still pass the bill then we will have another Great American Sick Out day after day while the House and Senate have their conference to get a unified bill. It can still be killed in either house after the conference committee sends out the unified bill
