Do you think electing Obama as president is going to bring out more racism in people?

It seems like everyone is saying that black people voted for Obama b/c he is black. This election seems to be so racially charged and people are reacting to it strongly. Is this going to bring out more racism in America?Do you think electing Obama as president is going to bring out more racism in people?why does it matter about skin colour?

Do people call George W. Bush white? yer sometimes

but we should stop with the black man as president saying seriously!

He got voted in cause he is dedicated to make America a better place for everyone he didnt want to win to prove black people can win just get over it!Do you think electing Obama as president is going to bring out more racism in people?
"Bring out more racism" ... ?

Create more racists? No.

Bring it out into the open? Probably.

Admitting to a problem and confronting a problem is always the first step in resolving the problem. There's a long, long way to go before racism can be "resolved" ... if, indeed, it can be ... but talking about it is vastly better than hiding from it, pretending it doesn't exist, and reacting to it when it rears its ugly head.Do you think electing Obama as president is going to bring out more racism in people?well I believe he was voted for becuase;

1. In America ALL races are equal

2. Most Americans believe that He have better ideas than his Rival John Mcain

Let me also remind readers that Obama never promised to turn things around in a flash. We Americans should work hard to contribute towrads finding viable solutions that America and the world are currently facing. The president alone CAN NOT dot it, thank you
Obama doesn't just represent blacks he represents all that have voted for him and that spans across people of all races and religion. It is a turning point for the nation and not just one group of people. If you are going to be racist to him then you must realise you are being racist to all these groups of people. Do you think electing Obama as president is going to bring out more racism in people? It did in my daughters middle school today. She said the black kids there were yelling racial slurs to all the white kids and none of the teachers would do anything about it. She said one kid yelled down the hall "Hey Cracker, you lost" and a black teacher that was standing there heard it and laughed...

Definitely will bring out the racism in many. I have seen so many status updates on facebook of people who I thought were my friends but definitely proved otherwise...I am kind of glad I am finding things out like this. It's definitely showing me people are not who you perceive them to be.
Yep, but with any luck and maybe even Gods will if there really is a God the racists will be forced to a very small minority status. I doubt any will ever gain any real power again because if they try they will loose. The public is tired of that old tired horse.Do you think electing Obama as president is going to bring out more racism in people?
Obama's problem was from the get go. His association with The Reverend "God damn America" Wright for 20 years, and his association with "nation of Islam leader" racist Louis Farrakhan, calling Obama the Messiah. This is more than just politics.
running away from problems makes them worse, confronting them makes them disappear once and for all.

It will no doubt be confronted in obamas presidency.
There is no more racism. All white debts fully settled on Nov 4, 2008. I never want to hear any whining from that part of town ever again.
Yes.The person that wrote about the black kids screaming at school is right. My daughter told me the same thing happened at her Middle School.
its bringing out the closet racists for sure. But i dont think it will create more racists.....either you're racist or you're not..

Yes. I will come out more, but it was already in them
It already has. I've seen so many answers with the "N" word on here I was shocked!
