Obama is working full-time and more getting briefed, planning and traveling for his job as president. I've always assumed that presidents don't start being paid until they're inaugurated and take office, but now I'm wondering. Is Obama being paid for all this work he's doing and all the expenses of traveling around? Or is this coming out of his own pocket? When does he actually start getting paid?Is Obama getting paid for all the work he's doing now, or does he not start being paid until he's inaugurated? That shows his dedication and seriousness to get things done.
I admire him. He is intense, isn't he? We need a person like that for these tough times.
No, I don't think he gets paid until Jan 20th. All of this is out of pocket - but he gets paid as an Ill Senator anyway. Plus Michelle makes a bundle as a lawyer.
But then, these are pittans compared to what he will make later and what he is worth. It is petty to think that he will be compensated for him being a president-in-waiting. He deserves it if he gets paid. Is Obama getting paid for all the work he's doing now, or does he not start being paid until he's inaugurated?
Like all government employees of his pay grade, he gets paid whether he works or not. He may pay out of pocket initially, but after he submits his travel vouchers, he will be reimbursed. He pays for little to nothing. It's all on you and me.Is Obama getting paid for all the work he's doing now, or does he not start being paid until he's inaugurated?Besides, he is still drawing pay as an Illinois Senator
that's why the campaigns raise money. he still gets paid through the senate because he is still the junior senator from illinois until he is sworn into office in january. Is Obama getting paid for all the work he's doing now, or does he not start being paid until he's inaugurated? As a Senator yes for president elect no.
Is Obama getting paid for all the work he's doing now, or does he not start being paid until he's inaugurated?
I think hes still getting paid as a senator. But the real pay in doing what hes doing doesnt come in money but comes in being ready for the office and gaining people's respect that you are taking your job seriously and that is worth more than money. Its like going to school. You dont get paid to go to school but it prepares you for your career. He may not be getting a presidential salary but it is preparing for the job.
He has already started earning some dividends from the massive investment he made during his campaign, not in financial terms though. He is obviously victorious and that the first form of reward he has netted. In terms of financial pay, he will start to get compensation once he come aboard the white house and take oarth of officeIs Obama getting paid for all the work he's doing now, or does he not start being paid until he's inaugurated?
Anybody who gets a new job, is paid for on the job training. He is still getting paid for "not" being a senator also, What a waste of taxpayers money!!!!
he is not paid yet
