Star and constellation myths?Look up "Greek Mythology"

Notice that many of the constellations (used in English language contexts) are named after characters in Greek and Roman mythology.

Other cultures, like Asian and Middle Eastern, also have very interesting astronomy based mythology that correlates well with their language and culture. But given that your question is posted on an English language site, try Greek %26amp; Roman mythology first.Star and constellation myths?
You could look up the story of Hercules (also called Heracles) in Greek mythology.

Hercules is also a constellation, visible in Summer and Fall. Hercules was seen as a protector in some Roman (adapted) myths, but not as much under the original Greek myths.

So you may have to pick and choose.
