Many Obama supporters are bitter for the rising of food prices knowing Obama is a strong supporter of corn ethanol. Obama is good at blaming people and stealing people ideas or should i say pragmatic. He lacks innovation ideas. A great leader must have rocket science idea like FDR, Reagan, lincoln, etc something obama lacks. That has to come with great experience. Second, one of the major reasons why food, and many other goods are increasing in price is because of the increase in gas prices. The introduction of more corn ethanol is intended to lower gas prices.

Unfortunantly, though, the primary job of the president is to execute the will of the people, and everything I have seen says that less than 1/3 of the nation wants us to keep fighting in Afghanistan.
As a liberal, I must say that I would preferr to avoid war at all times, but as a foreign policy analyst, I must say that a pullout from Afghanistan would be disastrous. The Taliban are more than capable of retaking the nation and have made such deep inroads into an already troubled Pakistan, that I would give even money on the descent of Pakistan into a state of total anarchy were we to let up the pressure in Afghanistan. But preventing a “safe haven” for Al Qaeda makes little sense to me. Their “havens” seem pretty safe right now. They don’t need a country to plan an attack, they only need a tent. None of the 757 suicide pilots trained for 9-11 in Afghanistan – they trained in Denver and at other flight schools. We don’t need to control a whole country to prevent a terror attack, we need intelligence and that needs to be world-wide. I’m not sure I understand.
